Earning Trust: Gospel As Personal Reparations
When you are a self-identifying white or Caucasian, there are many big assumptions afforded you in Eurocentric societies such as the US and Canada. To help us unpack these assumptions we have extended a special request to Hilary Giovale. As a self-identifying cisgender white female, Giovale has been on a long journey toward wholeness that allows her ancestral blood lines and land lines to both penetrate and inform her desired outcome, personal reparations.
Giovale will share with us the importance of doing our own homework on tracking and tracing where our heritage comes from and through whom it passed down to us beneficiaries. This is a different paradigm for legacy planning, which starts with a commitment to repair.
